2 bathing waters on Fuerteventura have had at least one temporary bathing ban, closure or advice not to bathe since 2023, according to Náyade and the Canary Islands health service. The list is sorted by the number of entries; date, sampling point and reason are on each beach's page.

The colour shows the 2025 EU rating: dark blue excellent, light blue good, amber sufficient, red poor or closed, grey not classified. Tap a dot to see the name and the link to its page.

The rating comes from the European Environment Agency, which assesses the Spanish health authorities' measurements under the EU Bathing Water Directive. It is based on all samples of the last four bathing seasons; the limits for E. coli and intestinal enterococci are set in the directive.

The ranking sorts by the 2025 rating, then by the number of consecutive years rated excellent, then by Blue Flag and by the number of bathing bans since 2023, and finally alphabetically. Where a bathing water has several sampling points, the weakest one counts.

Current status, bathing bans and lab results come from the Canary Islands health service (Servicio Canario de la Salud) and from Náyade, the information system of the Spanish Ministry of Health. We check the status three times a day and the lab results every day.

The Blue Flag comes from ADEAC's official 2026 list, the discharges from the Canary Islands government's official 2025 register. Weather, sea and waves are Open-Meteo model values and not an official bathing warning.

The EU rating describes water quality over several years, not today. On site, the lifeguards' flags and the council's notices always apply.

We check the official data daily and the weather values three times a day (07:15, 13:15 and 19:15 Canary time). We use only official or open sources; where a value is missing, the page says so.
