The weekend highlight: Fiestas de Octubre and music on La Gomera
San Sebastián de La Gomera is devoted to the Fiestas de Octubre in honour of the Virgen de Guadalupe this weekend. Processions, concerts and a folklore festival shape the programme, which reaches a musical peak on Friday with the Vocal Sampling concert at the Auditorio de La Gomera.
At the same time, the Exposaldo La Gomera sales fair on the Plaza de Las Américas invites visitors to browse among around 30 shops, with music, workshops and a fashion show. On Sunday, the Banda de Música Las Candelas gives its anniversary concert at the Auditorio Insular de La Gomera.
