The weekend highlight: sailing regattas and Noche de Finaos

More than 30 lateen-rigged boats gather off Puerto del Rosario for the 35th Canarian championship of 5-metre lateen sailors. From 24 October to 1 November, eight regattas are scheduled in the bay of Puerto del Rosario, while the XXXV Campeonato de Canarias de Barquillos de Vela Latina runs until Saturday with two regattas per day.

On Lanzarote, the Noche de Finaos is celebrated on Saturday in the Plaza de la Constitución in Teguise.

Friday 30 October

On Fuerteventura, Pablo López performs at the Palacio de Formación y Congresos in Puerto del Rosario as part of the Festival Mar Abierto. On Lanzarote, the International Ocean Film Tour Vol. 12 presents five international short films on Friday and Saturday at the Auditorio de los Jameos del Agua.
