What Culture & Business Pride is

Culture & Business Pride is an annual LGTBIQA+ festival that combines culture, business and activism. Unlike pure street-Pride events, it puts the focus on programming — panels, conferences, concerts, film screenings, exhibitions and the annual Alan Turing LGTBIQA+ Awards.

Previous editions took place in Santa Cruz de Tenerife and Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. The seventh edition ran from 3 to 8 December 2024 with headliners including Mika, Keane and Belén Aguilera, positioning the Canary Islands explicitly as an international platform for LGTBIQA+ visibility.

What is confirmed for 2026

The publicly confirmed centrepiece of the 2026 edition so far is the mass installation by New York artist Spencer Tunick: «GRAN SPECTRUM», 26 July 2026 on Gran Canaria. Hundreds of volunteers will use their bodies to form the colours of the LGTBIQA+ flags. Registration is open to anyone 18 and over at arnculturepride.org/spencertunick.

The Tunick piece is officially announced as part of Culture & Business Pride 2026. Institutional backing: Cabildo de Gran Canaria and Canary Islands Tourism. Both have framed the action as a statement against the «global rollback» of LGTBIQA+ rights — Spain currently ranks first on the ILGA-Europe Rainbow Map 2026.
