The highlight of the weekend: Ritmos del Mundo in Yaiza

The Ritmos del Mundo festival is celebrated on the Plaza del Carmen in Playa Blanca from 2 to 4 October. The programme brings together dance, pop music, mariachi, Latin American rhythms, flamenco and Canarian folklore.

Friday 2 October

On Fuerteventura, the Fiestas del Rosario in Puerto del Rosario continue. The capital's festival lasts two weeks and includes, among other things, a festival of Canarian song and a pop-rock night.

In Antigua, the international gastronomy fair Sabor a Castillo begins in Caleta de Fuste. For three days there will be food from different parts of the world, live cooking demonstrations, workshops for children and musical performances.

On Lanzarote, the Ritmos del Mundo festival starts on the Plaza del Carmen in Yaiza.

Saturday 3 October

The Vuelta Ciclista a Lanzarote 2026 begins. The road cycling race covers a total of 189 km in two stages.

On Fuerteventura, the Fiestas del Rosario in Puerto del Rosario continue their programme, while the second day of Sabor a Castillo takes place in Caleta de Fuste.

In Playa Blanca, Ritmos del Mundo enters its second festival day.

Sunday 4 October

The second stage of the Vuelta Ciclista a Lanzarote 2026 starts at 08:30 and brings the race to its conclusion.

At the Auditorio de Antigua, Laura Farré Rozada plays the piano evening Del caos al cosmos — Laura Farré Rozada, piano at 20:00. Admission costs 5 euros.

Last day for Sabor a Castillo in Caleta de Fuste and for Ritmos del Mundo in Yaiza.

Puerto del Carmen: Pubs and Bars on the Avenida

The nightlife district on Lanzarote brings together numerous addresses along the Avenida de las Playas and in the old town centre. These include The Beach Pub, The Sea View, Mulligans Irish Bar in the Old Town and The Irish Harbour Bar in the harbour area.

For live music there is Canela Café, Ocean Beach on the Plaza de la Música and Rock Café Fuerteventura.
