Why this tour is different

STING 3.0 is Sting's answer to the question of what's left after a 45-year career with a Police reunion, symphony tours and 100 million records sold. The answer: less. Three musicians on stage — Sting himself on bass and vocals, guitarist Dominic Miller (with him since 1991), and Chris Maas on drums. No horns, no strings, no choir. Sting's voice is 74 years old and you hear it — but the format doesn't magnify that, it turns it into a strength.

The tour has been running since 2024 through the US, Europe and Asia. Most dates are sold out. In spring it was extended to Spain. Six concerts in the first half of July 2026, starting with Gran Canaria.

Which classics to expect

The setlist of recent STING 3.0 shows consistently includes «Englishman in New York», «Roxanne», «Fields of Gold», «Shape of My Heart», «Message in a Bottle», «Walking on the Moon», «Every Breath You Take» and «If I Ever Lose My Faith in You». Plus a Police selection — «So Lonely», «Driven to Tears», «Demolition Man».

The trio format yields unexpected arrangements: «Roxanne» often gets a long, almost jazz-improvisational middle section. «Shape of My Heart» becomes a duet between Sting and Miller. Solo passages are shorter than on stadium tours — intimacy doesn't bear endless guitar solos.

Tickets and getting there

Tickets are available via entradas.com. Pre-sale was on 4 November 2025 for Sting members, general sale since 5 November. The Canary Islands dates are organised by local promoter Faltos de Ideas in partnership with New Event.

The Gran Canaria Arena is in Siete Palmas, next to the stadium. Lines 12, 25 and 26 from Santa Catalina. From the Maspalomas south, Line 1 (Global) towards Las Palmas, then transfer. Hotels around Mesa y López and La Isleta are the closest options for festival and concert visitors.

His second visit to the island

This isn't Sting's first Gran Canaria show. A few years ago he played with the Orquesta Filarmónica de Gran Canaria at an open-air stadium — many Las Palmas fans still remember «Englishman in New York» with string accompaniment, «Fields of Gold» with full section. This year's STING 3.0 format is the opposite. If you saw the last concert, this time you're not coming for the same experience — but for a different one.
