What exactly is the FudeNaS?

The FudeNaS is a north-to-south event on Fuerteventura. The 19th edition runs from Corralejo in the north to Morro Jable in the south. The main event is a mountain bike race over more than 150 kilometres.

The route runs mainly along tracks, dirt roads and paths. According to the event information, the places affected are Corralejo, Puerto del Rosario, Tuineje, Costa Calma and Morro Jable.

The race finish is on the Paseo Marítimo in Morro Jable. A complete route map has not been published in the available information. The exact municipal boundary of each section also remains unclear.

What is new for the 2026 edition?

In 2026, a 42-kilometre march and trail event is being added for the first time. It runs from Corralejo to the military base in Puerto del Rosario. According to the event information, the start is at 09:00.

The time limit for the Marcha de 42 km is six hours. This means participants without a mountain bike can also take part.

Other formats are "Ruta y E-Bike". These can be completed in one or two stages. On the two-day route, the overnight stop is in Antigua. A relay competition with a changeover point in Antigua is also planned.

What does this mean for holidaymakers and residents?

The route passes through several island towns. On the day of the event, start, finish and pass-through areas are likely to be affected. However, no official road closures, parking bans or diversions are mentioned in the available publications.

Specific closure times are also not given. Rules for spectators or a separate permit requirement for visitors are not mentioned. Anyone travelling in Corralejo, Puerto del Rosario, Tuineje, Costa Calma or Morro Jable on 17 October 2026 should allow extra time.

Registration was reopened until 9 October 2026 (the original deadline was 20 September). Registration took place online via the official event website fudenas.com. Prices, entry criteria and start documents remain partly unclear.

How much does it cost to take part?

A complete official price list for all formats is not apparent from the available information.

For 2024, the published fees were 80 euros for general registration and 85 euros afterwards. There were reduced rates of 75 and 80 euros for military personnel, Guardia Civil and members of cycling federations. These comparison figures come from the 2024 edition and do not automatically apply to 2026.
