What is being tendered?
The Ayuntamiento de Telde (municipal council) published the tender for 12 food truck permits on 2 October 2026. The pitches are located on Ramblas Pedro Lezcano, a central promenade in the town.
The permits cover the temporary use of public space during the Fiestas Patronales de San Gregorio 2026. According to the tender, the operating period runs from 6 to 17 November 2026, inclusive.
The initiative is being led by the Concejalía de Festejos y Ferias (department for fiestas and fairs) under Miguel Rodríguez Marchena. Its aim is to organise the food and drink offering during the town fiesta and to allow mobile catering businesses to take part.
How does the application process work?
Natural persons and legal entities can submit their documents within 30 calendar days. The deadline begins on the day after the tender is published in the Boletín Oficial de la Provincia de Las Palmas, the official bulletin of the province of Las Palmas.
Applications will be assessed against set criteria. The financial bid can score a maximum of 80 points. Proven professional experience in the sector earns one point per year.
Permits will be awarded in order of the score achieved. The choice of available pitches will also follow this order. The full terms of participation and application forms are available on the website www.telde.es and in the Sede Electrónica, the council's electronic administration portal.
What does a pitch cost?
The tender sets a minimum financial amount of 109.88 euros per permit. Higher bids are possible under the terms of participation and will be taken into account in the assessment process.
The published notice does not state whether additional costs such as deposits, electricity charges or waste disposal fees apply. Nor does the tender give details of hygiene requirements or insurance obligations.
Anyone with questions can contact the Concejalía de Festejos y Ferias.
What is known about the fiesta?
The Fiestas de San Gregorio are the patron saint fiesta of Telde. They honour San Gregorio Taumaturgo, the miracle worker, whose feast day is given as 17 November in the official tourism information.
The traditional heart of the fiesta is in Llanos de Jaraquemada and San Gregorio. This area is now an open commercial zone, but was previously shaped by agriculture and crafts.
A full programme for 2026 has not been published in the tender.
What remains open?
The official notice gives no information on expected visitor numbers or on the scale of the food and drink offering beyond the 12 food trucks. There is also no detailed event schedule with times.
Information on road closures, parking or public transport connections during the fiesta days has not been confirmed either.
For applicants, it remains unclear which specific permits are required for mobile selling. The council's "Mercados" page refers generally to the municipal regulation for itinerant or non-fixed selling and to the corresponding fees ordinance.
What happens next?
The application window runs for 30 calendar days from the day after publication in the official bulletin. As the tender was published on 2 October 2026, the deadline falls at the beginning of November 2026.
Once the deadline has passed, the bids received will be assessed against the set criteria. Permits will be awarded in order of the score achieved, as will the choice of pitches on Ramblas Pedro Lezcano.
The food trucks are due to be part of the fiesta offering from 6 to 17 November 2026. The council says it will announce further details on set-up and operating times through its official channels.
