What changes for visitors from the south of Tenerife?
For holidaymakers and residents in the holiday areas in the south, nothing changes in everyday life. The fair is a time-limited day-trip destination in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, not an event with any impact on traffic rules or residence regulations.
Entry is free, as the event details at The Canary Events show. Costs only arise for purchases at the stands, for travel and for food and drink on site.
Anyone travelling from the south should note the reduced opening hours on 26, 27 and 28 October 2026. On these three days, the fair opens only at 16:00 and closes at 21:00.
Where and when does the fair take place?
The 8th Feria Tricontinental de Artesanía takes place in the Gran Nave of the Recinto Ferial de Tenerife at Avenida de la Constitución 12 in Santa Cruz de Tenerife. The fair runs from 24 October to 2 November 2026.
The regular opening hours are daily from 11:00 to 21:00, according to the Cabildo de Tenerife. On 26, 27 and 28 October 2026, the hours of 16:00 to 21:00 apply instead.
The opening is on Saturday, 24 October 2026, at 11:00. The final day of the fair is Monday, 2 November 2026, also with the regular opening hours.
What is there to see at the Feria Tricontinental?
According to the Cabildo de Tenerife, the fair combines sales stands, live workshops, competitions, exhibitions, fashion shows, music, tastings and product presentations. There are also trade meetings with furnishing shops and media.
Mexico is this year's guest country. The opening show is titled "Viva México" and is directed by Juan Carlos Armas, as RADAR/Tenerife Weekly reports.
Two free fashion shows begin on 26 and 27 October at 18:00 respectively. The first is called "La ciudad se viste: moda urbana en el siglo XVIII", the second "Piezas y complementos artesanales".
Which workshops are on offer?
According to RADAR/Tenerife Weekly, visitors can take part in workshops on knife making, pottery, basket weaving and mask making. The courses are led by artisans from Mexico, Colombia, Peru, Chile and other countries.
The organisers emphasise the direct exchange between visitors and artisans. In demonstrations and masterclasses, the participants show how their pieces are made.
According to the Cabildo de Tenerife, the programme is aimed at adults and families. The fair runs over ten days and therefore offers visitors from the south several opportunities to attend.
How do you get to the fair and what is still open?
The Cabildo de Tenerife is promoting the fair with branding on two trams and with advertising at stops in the greater Santa Cruz area. Specific travel recommendations or parking information have not been published in the available sources.
Detailed stand plans, a complete list of participants and specific product prices have not been published. Information on parking or additional traffic measures is also lacking so far.
Also not mentioned are special rules for shipping goods or customs for purchases outside the EU. Visitors should clarify these points on site if they wish to buy larger pieces.
What is the history of the Feria Tricontinental?
The 2026 edition is the eighth Feria Tricontinental de Artesanía. The seventh edition was dedicated to Portugal and also brought together more than 200 artisans, as the background research shows.
Before the Tricontinental, there was the Muestra Iberoamericana de Artesanía. It reached 16 editions since 1989 before the Tricontinental was created as its successor format.
The organiser is the Cabildo de Tenerife through the Empresa Insular de Artesanía. A budget or a breakdown of costs is not stated in the available sources.
