When and where does Márcio Faraco play?

Márcio Faraco takes the stage in the Sala de Cámara (chamber hall) of the Auditorio de Tenerife on Saturday 7 November 2026 at 19:30. The Auditorio says so on its events page.

The Auditorio “Adán Martín” stands at Avenida de la Constitución 1 in Santa Cruz de Tenerife. It is a public arts venue and home to the Orquesta Sinfónica de Tenerife.

Anyone living in the south of the island must travel to Santa Cruz de Tenerife for the evening. The Auditorio gave no journey times or connections, so check them before you go.

How much are tickets and where can you buy them?

A ticket costs 15 euros, and anyone under 30 pays 5 euros. That is what the Auditorio's page states.

Students, unemployed people and large families get discounts. The Auditorio has not published how big they are or what proof the box office asks for.

The Auditorio sells tickets online at auditoriodetenerife.com, at the box office and by phone on 902 317 327. The box office opens Monday to Friday from 10:00 to 17:00 and on Saturday from 10:00 to 14:00.

On Saturday 7 November the box office shuts at 14:00, more than five hours before the concert starts. The page does not say whether the concert is sold out, nor how many seats the hall has.

What will Faraco play on the night?

Faraco sings, accompanied by the pianist Laurent de Oliveira and a guitarist. The Auditorio does not name the guitarist.

The programme is a small-ensemble meeting of voice, guitar and piano. According to the Auditorio, it runs through the influences that shaped Faraco's career.

His music moves between Brazilian song, bossa nova, samba and jazz. The Auditorio calls him “one of the outstanding voices” of Brazilian popular music.

The Auditorio places Faraco in contemporary MPB, Brazilian popular music, and stresses the composition and poetic value of his songs. It has not published a list of pieces.

Who is Márcio Faraco, and what is Tensamba?

The concert closes the 23rd edition of the Tensamba festival. Tensamba aims to bring Brazilian culture to audiences in the Canary Islands.

The Gobierno de Canarias (Canarian regional government) backs the festival through Promotur Islas Canarias and the ICDC, together with the Cabildo de Tenerife (island council) and the Ayuntamiento de La Laguna (town council). The Auditorio's page names no sums.

Faraco was born in Alegrete, Brazil, in 1963. A biography with patchy sourcing says he has lived in France since the 1990s, and he is a singer, composer, producer and guitarist.

That biography lists the studio albums “Brasil Pass” from 1995, “Cajueiro” from 2014 and “L'Electricien de la Ville Lumière” from 2021. He played the Gibraltar World Music Festival in June 2016 and was booked for the Cassis Jazz Festival in France in 2025.

What role does jazz play at the Auditorio?

The Auditorio's 2026 jazz series began on 16 January at 19:30 in the Sala de Cámara. Jazz is therefore a fixed part of the venue's programme.

Snarky Puppy & Metropole Orkest played on 7 February 2026, and David Helbock on 28 February 2026. Each April the venue marks International Jazz Day.

The Auditorio opened on 26 September 2003, and its symphony hall seats 1,616. The chamber hall holds about 422 seats according to details on the venue, though one source gives 428.

The 2025–26 season programme centres on the chamber series, organ concerts and world music, including jazz, Portuguese music, flamenco and gospel. Faraco's show on 7 November ends this year's Tensamba, and the source named no further dates in Tenerife.
