Which Costa Teguise restaurants hold awards in 2026?

Lanzarote keeps its 30 Soletes, says La Voz de Lanzarote of 1 December 2025, and Teguise holds eight, the most on the island. Soletes are awards from the Repsol guide, a Spanish restaurant guide that rates venues with one, two or three “suns” (Soles).

Two of the eight are in Costa Teguise, according to the same article: El Bocadito in the Pueblo Marinero and the Bombón Café. The article gives no cuisine or address for El Bocadito and nothing on Bombón Café beyond the award, and prices are unconfirmed for both.

The other six Soletes in the municipality lie outside Costa Teguise. Casa Tomás is in Las Caletas and La Cueva de LagOmar in Nazaret.

Tao Teleclub, Levain in Tahíche, and Bodega Santa Bárbara and Ikarus in La Villa make up the rest. Anyone visiting those venues has to travel into the surrounding area.

The article dates from December 2025, so the status of individual venues may have changed since. A Repsol result for Costa Teguise in 2026 is unconfirmed, so check the venue's website or Instagram profile before you go.

What does SeBE offer, and is it in the Michelin Guide?

SeBE won its first Repsol Sol on 4 March 2024, as La Voz de Lanzarote reported on 8 March 2024. That makes it one of the best-known addresses in Costa Teguise.

Whether it still holds the Sol in 2026 is unconfirmed. The December 2025 list of Soletes does not name it for Costa Teguise.

The kitchen focuses on rice dishes, for example with octopus, meat, or prawns and scarlet prawns from La Santa. Local fish such as bocinegro and sama is on the menu too.

Mojos, the Canarian sauces made from herbs or peppers, are also on offer, La Voz de Lanzarote reported when it covered the 2024 award. The article names Santi Benéitez as head chef and Begoña Ratón as “maître”.

The Michelin Guide lists SeBE on Avenida de las Islas Canarias in Costa Teguise. Main-course prices and fixed opening days are unconfirmed, so the operators should be asked.

The year of the Michelin listing is unclear. A report by lanzaroteinformation.co.uk lists SeBE as “Recommended” in the 2026 guide, while other sources point to a Michelin Plate in 2025.

That is a recommendation, not a star. According to La Voz de Lanzarote, the island's only star belongs to Kamezí in Playa Blanca.

Where are the restaurant areas of Costa Teguise, and where can you find fish and seafood?

Costa Teguise is a low-rise resort next to Arrecife, and its restaurants are spread out. Without a car, pick one of the three clusters the official website names and stay there: Pueblo Marinero, Avenida del Mar, or the Las Cucharas promenade with Playa Bastián.

The Pueblo Marinero is a fishing-village-style complex with bars, restaurants and a market square, and the official website says César Manrique designed much of it. It is home to El Bocadito, which unconfirmed reports describe as Spanish-Mediterranean, known for its tortilla, and open Wednesday to Sunday from 12:00 to 23:00.

Also in the Pueblo Marinero, the official website lists Habana 6 (Tuesday to Saturday, 13:30 to 23:30) and the Indian Bollywood, open daily from 15:00. Habana 6 is regarded as Cuban-international, and the claim that Manrique designed it is unproven.

On Avenida del Mar, the official website names the Italian Sesto Senso, Greens for brunch (Wednesday to Sunday), El Navarro (evenings, Monday to Saturday from 18:30) and Isla Bonita. The Canarian Isla Bonita has been open since 1987 and serves a daily special featuring a local speciality.

For fish and seafood, the official website names two addresses: Casa Tomás in Las Caletas and Villa Toledo at Playa Bastián. According to La Voz de Lanzarote, Casa Tomás holds one of Teguise's Soletes, but it stands in Las Caletas, not in Costa Teguise itself.

The Las Cucharas promenade also has La Peskera and La Terraza Grill in the Las Cucharas shopping centre. La Peskera is said to open daily from 10:00 to 22:00, but the operators have not confirmed either detail, so check before you go.

For breakfast, the official website names Coppelia and Costa Café. Unconfirmed reports add Italian venues such as Mi Piace, Osteria Antichi Sapori, Portobello and La Forgia, the Sardinian-influenced Dolmen in Calle de las Tabaibas and the classic Meson La Jordana.

No verified ranking of Costa Teguise restaurants exists, so we list awards and locations instead of ratings. Teneriffa-News keeps a ranking of the twelve best-rated venues as of July 2026, but its content is unconfirmed.

When are Costa Teguise restaurants open, and do you need to book?

Most venues in Costa Teguise close one or two days a week, usually Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday, according to the official website. Isla Bonita opens Tuesday to Saturday from 12:30 to 23:00, and La Bohemia closes on Wednesdays.

Alfredo's Kitchen closes on Mondays and Tuesdays. Sesto Senso opens only in the evening from Thursday to Monday.

By the research's own assessment, some of the times on that site contradict each other, so treat them as a guide. Only the operators' details are binding, so on a Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday it is best to have a fallback venue.

On booking, the official website says it is “almost compulsory” at Las Maretas and recommends it for Alfredo's Kitchen, especially for dinner on Friday and Saturday. One report mentions heavy demand at Taberna El Bocadito between 14:00 and 16:00, which is also unconfirmed.

There is no official booking advice for Costa Teguise as a whole, and closures and hours for 2026 are unchecked for most venues. If you want to eat out in the evening in high season, ask by phone or on the venue's website beforehand.

How much does a meal cost in Costa Teguise, and what about tips and IGIC?

A July 2026 summary from Teneriffa-News gives 10 to 14 euros for a menú del día (set lunch menu) with three courses and a drink. This is unconfirmed because the page could not be checked, and no official restaurant price lists exist for 2026.

A rating by Capture the Atlas puts El Navarro and Portobello in the middle price band (€€) and Habana 6 in the top band (€€€), without euro amounts. The Michelin Guide also lists SeBE as €€€, and prices for individual main courses are unconfirmed for every venue.

Restaurants in the Canary Islands pay a heavily reduced 3% of IGIC, the Canarian consumption tax, writes the tax adviser the official website for 2026. The general rate is 7%.

Tipping is not compulsory, and RTVC reports that imposing it is illegal. A surcharge must be announced before the bill, RTVC adds.

Both points come only from a short RTVC item. So read the menu before ordering.

What is known about Costa Teguise as a resort, and what remains open?

According to lanzaroteinformation.co.uk, the special plan for Costa Teguise took effect on 2 September 1972, and the resort marked its 50th anniversary in September 2022. Explosivos Río Tinto S.A. was the owner and developer, and the site between Tahíche and Las Caletas was farmland and salt pans.

the official website says the municipal licence followed on 4 October 1974, and the announcement foresaw 17 hotels and 6,500 apartments and bungalows. The first hotel, the Salinas, went up with Los Molinos between 1974 and 1977.

According to lanzaroteinformation.co.uk, the resort now has more than 9,000 residents. For 2026, prices per dish, opening days and closures at most venues remain open.

A comparison with other islands is missing because the sources do not provide one. There is no Repsol result for Costa Teguise for 2026 either.

The site the official website and the Michelin entries remain the first places to check for updates. This guide will add changes once operators or award bodies publish new details.
