What changes for festival-goers?
Anyone who wants to stay for the whole Arena Negra Festival weekend no longer has to travel between the venue and their accommodation. The Cabildo de Fuerteventura and the Ayuntamiento de Tuineje are setting up a rest and seating area for this purpose.
The area is in the Ciudad Deportiva de Gran Tarajal, in the El Palmeral zone. According to the Cabildo, it offers security staff, toilets, showers and a shaded area.
How do I reserve a pitch?
Pitches are reserved through the website of the Cabildo's culture department, culturafuerteventura.es. A deposit of 20 euros must be paid when booking.
The deposit is refunded after the event ends. The Cabildo's announcement does not state a booking deadline, a maximum length of stay or check-in and check-out times.
What rules apply to minors?
Minors may only enter the rest area if accompanied by an adult. The Cabildo de Fuerteventura states this explicitly.
For residents, foreign nationals living in Fuerteventura and tourists, the same conditions for minors apply at the Arena Negra Festival rest area, according to the Cabildo de Fuerteventura.
How much does the stay cost?
Apart from the refundable deposit of 20 euros, the announcement does not mention an overnight or pitch price. Entry to the festival itself is free, according to background information.
The exact capacity of the rest area, the size of the pitches and the permitted equipment have not been published. The refund arrangements also remain open.
Which artists are performing over the weekend?
On Friday 6 November 2026, Juan Magán, Rosana, Álvaro de Luna and Merche will perform. On Saturday 7 November, Luis Fonsi, Delaossa, Los Secretos and Lauta will follow.
There is also the daytime programme Arena Negra de Día on Saturday. Andrea Rodríguez y la Banda del Trópico, Kilombo Improvisado, NIA, ContraVentura and Timbeque will play there.
Who organises the festival?
The Arena Negra Festival is organised by the culture department of the Cabildo de Fuerteventura. It is supported by the Gobierno de Canarias, the Ayuntamiento de Tuineje, Cajasiete and the Asociación La Gavia.
The festival began in 2018 and is regarded by the Cabildo as one of the most important musical events in autumn in Fuerteventura. The 2026 edition is designed as a two-day event and aims to bring national and international artists to Gran Tarajal.
