What will the weather be like on Monday 2 November?
Monday 2 November starts cloudy, and the night and early morning may still bring some rain, says the Fuerteventura Zeitung. The cloud breaks up during the day, and the chance of rain drops to 5% in the afternoon.
The thermometer climbs to 27 degrees, with an overnight low of 19 degrees. The wind blows from the north-east to east at about 30 kilometres per hour at first, with gusts that can reach 50.
Later the wind turns north-west and eases to 5 to 10 kilometres per hour. If you plan a beach day, this forecast favours the second half of the day, and the maximum UV index is 5.
When are more showers possible this week?
Tuesday 3 November brings thick cloud with sunny spells and, mostly in the afternoon, scattered light rain. The Fuerteventura Zeitung puts the chance of rain at 65% for the whole day and 45% for the afternoon and evening.
Highs reach 26 degrees, and the night cools to 18 degrees. The wind comes mainly from the north-west at 10 to 15 kilometres per hour.
Wednesday 4 November stays changeable and cloudy, with 25 degrees by day and 17 degrees at night. The chance of rain is 5% in the morning and rises to 40% in the second half of the day.
For Sunday 1 November, the forecast had set a 70% chance of rain in the afternoon and 85% later in the day. It also predicted up to 27 degrees and gusts of up to 35 kilometres per hour.
When does the weather turn friendlier again?
From Thursday 5 November, the weather settles steadily, says the Fuerteventura Zeitung. Sun and cloud alternate, and the chance of rain falls to 20% at 26 degrees.
Friday 6 November shows only a few clouds, with a 5% chance of rain. Highs reach 26 degrees and nights 18 degrees, and it is almost calm.
On Saturday 7 November, temperatures rise to as much as 28 degrees, with a 10% chance of rain. A light easterly wind blows at about 10 kilometres per hour, and the night falls to about 17 degrees.
For the whole forecast week, the paper gives highs between 25 and 28 degrees. The forecast is not split by resort, and the report does not say whether the south differs from the north.
Is this November really unusually warm?
The state weather service AEMET has not yet found that November 2026 is unusually warm. A verdict on the whole month is only possible in December, when AEMET publishes its monthly summary.
AEMET’s autumn outlook gives the Canary Islands a 60 to 70% chance of above-average temperatures, Diario de Avisos reported on 3 September 2026. Below-average values account for about 10%, and a drier autumn for 40%.
AEMET stresses that these are three-month trends and not daily forecasts. The outlook says nothing about November alone, and a single heavy-rain event can change the rainfall total.
The AEMET beach forecast for Corralejo, issued on 2 November, gives 23 to 24 degrees of air and 23 degrees of water for 2 to 4 November. It covers only one beach on the north coast, expects mostly clear skies and sits below the island forecast of 25 to 27 degrees for those days.
For comparison, November 2025 was the eleventh-warmest in the Canary Islands since 1961, RTVC reported, citing AEMET. The average was 18.6 degrees, which is 0.8 degrees above the reference period.
What should visitors and residents keep in mind?
The rain stays light in the forecast, with a 65% chance set for Tuesday 3 November. Even so, it is worth knowing the basic rules.
In rain, the Gobierno de Canarias (Canary Islands government) advises following the self-protection guidance of the Dirección General de Emergencias (the regional emergency directorate). Drivers should slow down, never cross flooded spots and watch for landslides, and the emergency number is 112.
The basic pattern changes with autumn: according to Diario de Avisos, AEMET says the protective high weakens from November. Lows with rain and thunderstorms then arrive more often.
According to RTVC, a pre-alert level applied to Lanzarote and Fuerteventura on 1 October 2025 and ended on 2 October, after only scattered rain fell. AEMET issues the warnings, while the Gobierno de Canarias decides on the alert levels.
AEMET updates the beach and island forecasts daily. Last year its November monthly summary appeared on 10 December 2025, RTVC reported.
