What awaits families and food lovers in Cruce de Arinaga?

From Friday 6 to Sunday 8 November 2026, the Avenida de Ansite in Cruce de Arinaga, in the municipality of Agüimes, becomes a fairground with 150 stalls, Canarias7 reports. The exhibitors come from Agüimes, Ingenio and Santa Lucía de Tirajana, the three municipalities of south-east Gran Canaria.

The fair opens at 10:00 on both Friday and Saturday. On Friday the opening ceremony follows at 11:00, and then the parrandas (groups playing traditional folk music) of the three municipalities walk across the site.

On Sunday 8 November the exhibition, sales, livestock show and children's areas stay open until 15:00. Anyone who still wants to buy crafts or regional produce should plan to come in the morning.

Canarias7 describes the fair as a place to get to know and buy local products. Food tastings are on the programme on all three days, and on Sunday local businesses and producers offer tasting sessions.

Who plays on stage on which day?

On Friday 6 November, according to Canarias7, the day ends with Araguaney, Juan Antonio Cabrera and La Trova. The report gave no times for the concerts.

Saturday 7 November brings the evening concerts. Los Gofiones, Maestro Florido and Los Salvapantallas play.

On Sunday 8 November, Los Sabandeños, Yeray Rodríguez and the Grupo del Sureste take the main stage. At 13:00 craftspeople are honoured, with Yeray Rodríguez and Conciencia Urbana taking part.

Canarias7 says the ceremony is meant to recognise the region's craftwork and cultural identity. It starts two hours before the fair closes, so it makes a good last stop before the journey home.

What can children and curious visitors discover?

For children, Canarias7 announces puppet shows and games as early as Friday. On Saturday 7 November new performances follow, including Isla de Sabores.

Traditional games are part of the programme on all three days. On Sunday the children's areas stay open until 15:00.

On Saturday there are honey tastings with honey from Gran Canaria. Demonstrations and workshops on beekeeping and the life of bees complete the offer.

The muestra ganadera (livestock show) runs on all three days. On Saturday it offers workshops where visitors make beeswax candles, but no times are given for 2026.

Who organises the fair, and where was it held before?

The Mancomunidad del Sureste organises the XXIII edition. This association of Agüimes, Ingenio and Santa Lucía de Tirajana has existed since 1990, according to RTVC.

The venue rotates between the three municipalities. In 2025 the fair ran from 7 to 9 November on the Avenida Carlos V in the Carrizal district of Ingenio, and in 2024 it was held in Vecindario (Santa Lucía de Tirajana).

The number of stalls has stayed stable over the years, according to RTVC and the website que.es. There were about 150 in 2019 and 2024, and more than 150 in 2025.

For the 2025 edition RTVC expected around 100,000 visitors over three days, but no counted figures exist. The opening was attended by Antonio Morales, president of the Cabildo de Gran Canaria (island government), and Vanesa Martín, mayor of Ingenio, who according to RTVC wanted consumers not to forget local products.

What is still unclear before a visit?

Canarias7 gives no admission price, and the reports on the 2025 edition do not mention one either. Whether entry is free therefore remains unconfirmed.

The organisers have published nothing on parking, regular buses or shuttles for 2026, as far as the available information shows. Visitors coming from the southern resorts should sort out their journey in advance.

According to Canarias7, the full programme with times is on the website feriasureste.com. Closing times for Friday and Saturday, which the report does not give, should be listed there too.

The fixed points are the opening on 6 November at 11:00, the honouring on 8 November at 13:00 and the close of the fair the same day at 15:00. Our research has so far found no second source besides Canarias7 for the 2026 programme.
