Two calendars, and only one is in the gazette
Annex III on page 35806 has nine rows. Two concern parents directly, and both carry the same date: "Del 5 de octubre al 16 de octubre", one for the application, one for the scoring documents, which are handed in at the school. Then come 20 October for the provisional lists, 20 to 22 October for appeals and 29 October for the final lists. Resolución no. 741/2026 replaces the table entirely: both windows now run from 6 to 20 October, provisional lists on the 23rd, appeals until the 27th, final lists on 3 November. Not one date survives. Article 109.2 of Ley 39/2015 allows the administration to rectify errors "en cualquier momento" — this correction has not reached the gazette yet.
What the PDF carries but the page does not show
The file behind notice 3392 holds more than what is printed. Alongside the published table sit two earlier versions of the same annex, plus an internal note headed "SOLICITUD ACTUALIZACIÓN FECHA ANEXO III ADMISIÓN EXTRAORDINARIA". In it the directorate asks for the end date of the third row to be changed "tras haber detectado una errata" — from "Del 5 de octubre al 13 de octubre" to the 16th. None of that appears on the printed page. Text-extraction tools pull out the old layers; a reader never sees them, so 13 October never became published law. It is still not tidy: the correction quotes its own starting text as "29 de noviembre" for the final lists, while the gazette prints "29 de octubre".
Five schools, three year groups, no start date
Annex II names them one by one: on Gran Canaria the CEIP Monseñor Socorro Lantigua in Teror and the CEIP Manolo Ortega in Arucas, both for the second year group, and the CEIP Los Alisios in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria for the third; on La Gomera a mixed class at the CEO Santiago Apóstol in Alajeró; on Lanzarote two classes at the CEIP Costa Teguise. The age rule is in the department's questions sheet: second year group for children turning one in 2026, third for those turning two, first for children born in 2026 and at least 16 weeks old. When lessons start, the resolución does not say: that depends on "la finalización de la obra y la dotación del equipamiento".
How to apply: two routes, and a visit to the school
Online you need one of the identification and signature systems the sede electrónica accepts; afterwards the application can be printed with its entry stamp. On paper you fill it in through the department's "Generador de Solicitudes" tool. Either way, instruction two of Annex I applies: you then have to go to the school, complete the criteria form there and hand over the documents. Proof of the family unit is compulsory: family book, birth certificate, residence registration or, where parents are separated, the court order on custody. Income, proximity and disability are checked by data-sharing. Points go for siblings at the school (8), the catchment area (8, bordering area 3), household income per head of up to 7,200.00 euros (4) and a disability of 33 % or more (4). Ties are settled by the letter "C".
Public holidays inside the window, and what the law says
Monday 12 October, the national holiday, falls inside both versions and is non-working across all the islands under Decreto 61/2025 of 28 April (BOC no. 88 of 5 May 2025). The same decree makes 5 October a holiday throughout La Gomera — Alajeró is one of the five municipalities. Articles 30.2 and 30.5 of Ley 39/2015 do not bite here: the annex gives fixed dates, not a count of days. Article 30.6 declares a day non-working "en todo caso" where it is one either at the applicant's home or at the authority's seat — but article 31.3 excludes that rule for electronic registers, and article 31.2.a allows filing "todos los días del año durante las veinticuatro horas". Online the holiday does not count against you; for the trip to the school it does.
