What can families expect from the Dakris show?

Dakris brings his new show “Nada es lo que parece” to La Laguna, billed as “El Mago Invisible”. The university describes him as a winner of the Premio Nacional de Magia, a television creative and magician of the year.

The programme promises illusion, humour, “impossible effects” and, of course, invisibility. According to the programme, someone disappears, and there are teleportations and mentalism too.

The audience can join in, but does not have to. People can take part from their seats or come on stage, and some tricks use objects from the hall.

The university sees the show as an evening that blurs the line between reality and fantasy. It is pure magic, not a play.

When do the shows start?

The first show is on Friday 6 November at 20:00. The Paraninfo calendar lists 20:00 to 21:30 for that evening.

On Saturday 7 November, Dakris performs twice, at 12:00 and 18:00. On Sunday 8 November, the same two times apply.

Families with younger children are best off planning for the 12:00 show. The university has not published how long the 12:00 and 18:00 shows last.

The Paraninfo's general calendar gives only 6 to 8 November, 20:00 to 21:30 each day. The individual dates are on the show's own page, so check the times when you buy tickets.

How much is a ticket and where can you buy one?

A standard ticket costs 33 euros. The university names no discounts for children, students or university staff.

Tomaticket sells the tickets, and the university links straight to it from its page. Whether any shows have sold out is not known.

Families are better off buying online before they travel. The available information does not say whether any seats remain at the box office.

On Tomaticket, the show appears as “El Mago Invisible” in Tenerife. Another ticket site for Dakris showed no Tenerife date at the time of research, but sales run through Tomaticket.

How do you get to the Paraninfo in La Laguna?

The Paraninfo stands on Calle Pedro Zerolo s/n in San Cristóbal de La Laguna, postcode 38200. For questions, the university answers on 922 31 96 08.

Drivers take the TF-5 into the centre of La Laguna.

La Laguna's old town is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Our research did not establish what parking and pedestrian zone rules apply there.

What kind of hall is the Paraninfo?

The Paraninfo (the university's ceremonial hall) sits in the main building of La Laguna University. Building began in the mid-1930s and finished in 1962, with José Enrique Marrero Regalado and Domingo Pisaca as architects.

Mariano de Cossio's ceiling paintings show allegories of the university's fields of knowledge. Damp damage closed the hall in 2001, and it reopened in late 2009 after restoration.

The university uses the hall for academic ceremonies, conferences and stage shows. Thanks to its acoustics for live voices, it counts as one of Tenerife's reference venues.

Magic is no newcomer there. The university lists earlier acts, including David de la Torre with “El arte de lo imposible” in 2023 and Shado el Mago in the 2025/26 season.
