When and where is the Gastro Rock in Tazacorte?
The Gastro Rock opens in Tazacorte on Saturday 7 November 2026, from 13:00 to 21:00. The news portal lapalmaisland.com reports this in its events calendar.
The party takes place on Plaza de España, also called Plaza de la Iglesia. According to La Revista de La Palma's 2024 listing, the town's postcode is 38770.
Eight hours of programme fill the afternoon and early evening. The announcement describes a mix of good food, live music and a festive mood under open skies.
Which bands play and what is there to eat?
Three groups make up the line-up: Bienmesabe, Escuela de Calor and Los Vándalos. According to lapalmaisland.com, their concerts bring rhythm and energy to the square.
The running order and exact set times have not been published. The announcement also says nothing about each band's style, beyond the event's name, Gastro Rock.
Stalls selling food and drink are due to offer a range of gastronomic dishes. The announcement does not say which restaurants and bars take part in 2026.
The 2024 edition hints at what might be on the plates. El Time then named Tasca La Marmota, La Locanda, Café Belvedere, La Gastroneta and La Cocina de Aneliss, among others, but whether they return in 2026 is open.
What does entry cost, and how do I get to Tazacorte?
Nobody has named an entry price for 2026. The announcement on lapalmaisland.com mentions neither tickets nor costs.
The 2024 edition offers a pointer, as La Revista de La Palma listed free entry then. No source confirms this for 2026, and food and drink at the stalls will probably cost extra as usual, but no prices are available.
There is no information on getting there. None of the sources checked has published anything on parking, buses (guaguas) or road closures around Plaza de España.
Drivers should therefore allow extra time to find a space. The Ayuntamiento (town council) of Tazacorte can give information.
How did the 2024 edition go?
The second Gastro Rock took place on Saturday 9 November 2024, from 13:30 to 21:00. Plaza de España was the venue then too.
According to El Time, the bill included Las Bandas, Stereogroove, Atlántis and a Queen tribute band. A DJ team closed the evening.
Who organised the 2024 event remains unclear. The paper reported that the Ayuntamiento de Tazacorte organised the feria (fair), while La Revista de La Palma lists itself as organiser in its own entry, and the two claims cannot be reconciled.
Mayor Manuel González described the 2024 event as a meeting point for music and local cuisine that should also strengthen local businesses. Counting it as the second edition implies a first in 2023, but no source for that turned up.
What is still open for 2026?
Four points remain open for 2026: entry, travel, organiser and the food businesses taking part. The announcement gives only the date, time, place, the three bands and the food stalls.
Tazacorte's calendar helps with orientation. According to festivalesdeespana.com, the Fiestas Patronales de San Miguel Arcángel (patron saint festivities) run from 10 September to 23 October 2026, so they end before the Gastro Rock.
The town also invites people to public events throughout the year. On 27 September 2025, the 20th Ruta del Gallo, a gastronomic day, took place on Plaza de España, according to visitlapalma.es.
Anyone wanting to attend on 7 November should check the pages of the Ayuntamiento de Tazacorte and the Cabildo (island government) shortly beforehand. No cancellation or postponement is known so far.
