The dates — and where the wrong ones come from
Search for the dates and you get two answers. tickety.es carries the header "Viernes 2 a 4 de Octubre de 2026" and dates every item individually. The home page of the promoter, Verbena Cósmica, announces "10-12 de octubre en El Hierro" instead. Those were the dates of the first edition: Gaceta del Meridiano reported on 9 October 2025 on a Luchada Cósmica held from 10 to 12 October 2025 at the same terrero. The sentence is a year old and has never been corrected.
That this is neglect rather than a rival plan, the same page shows twice over: the introductory text says "28 de septiembre en Tenerife" and "20 de diciembre en Santa Cruz", while the cards below it read "25-27 Sep" and "12 Dic". The El Hierro card itself correctly reads "02-04 Oct", matching the ticket shop and the one press report.
The programme as tickety.es lists it
Friday 2 October: 18:30 to 19:30, an introductory class in juego del palo, Canarian stick fighting, with Guanyxemar Quintero on the Plaza de la Parroquia Nuestra Señora de La Candelaria beside the terrero, free. 20:00 to 21:30, the film "La Lucha" by José Alayón, 92 minutes, at the terrero, free. Saturday 3 October: 11:00 to 12:30, "Brega y Brinco", an introduction to lucha canaria by the Club de Lucha Valle de El Golfo and to the shepherd's leap, salto del pastor, by "El Petróleo", free. 13:00 to 14:00, "Macrovida en los charcos", a guided walk through the rock-pool ecosystems with Juan Ramón Marcelino, meeting at La Maceta, free.
14:30 to 16:30, "Arrime + Enyesque" with a bola canaria class from the Delegación insular de Bola Canaria de El Hierro, a tasting of Canarian dishes, water, wine and a DJ session at the Kiosco de Bolas in Tigaday, 18 euros. 17:00 to 02:00, the main event at the terrero, entry plus one drink: on "La Brega Stage" Just Beca (17:00), a wrestling exhibition (18:30), then Red Bitch, Candela, Habitus, Cleepers, Zoc and Bliss from 00:30; on "Red Room Stage" from 19:30 Bliss, Cleepers, Zoc, Candela, Habitus and Red Bitch from 00:30. Sunday 4 October, 13:00 to 15:00: closing paella by Arroces Atroces with a DJ session at the Museo Juan Barbuzano.
Where the ticket shop contradicts itself
The programme text and the checkout on the same platform do not quote the same prices. The programme list puts the closing paella at "18€"; in the checkout at venta.tickety.es the same session costs 15.00 euros. For the main event the list says "22 € (promo) / 25 € (general)"; on Friday morning only the 25.00-euro category was selectable. All three categories were freely bookable, and the page showed no sold-out notice anywhere. The stage names differ too: the shop writes "La Brega Stage" and "Red Room Stage", Creativa Canaria wrote "Brega Stage" and "Maña Stage" on 21 September. The free items have no checkout line at all — anyone going only to those needs no ticket.
Canarian wrestling and electronica — not astronomy
The name misleads. El Hierro is a Starlight reserve, and the Turismo de Canarias agenda does list the Draconid meteor shower for 6 to 10 October. It has nothing to do with the festival. "Luchada Cósmica es un evento que fusiona música, lucha canaria, gastronomía y naturaleza", says the description on tickety.es — music, Canarian wrestling, food and nature. "Cósmica" is the brand name of the promoter Verbena Cósmica, which describes itself as a cultural festival with a disco, funk and house line-up and a design market. Both halves are documented: stick fighting, lucha canaria, the shepherd's leap and bola canaria on one side, seven DJ names across two stages on the other.
Getting there: flight or ferry — and almost no notice
El Hierro is reachable only via Tenerife or Gran Canaria. According to Turismo de Canarias the island airport lies about ten kilometres from Valverde and serves those two islands only. The ferry links Los Cristianos on Tenerife with the port of La Estaca in Valverde, a crossing of about two hours and 20 minutes according to the same portal. The venue is not in Valverde and not in El Pinar but in La Frontera, in the El Golfo valley on the other side of the island. The notice is effectively nil: a few hours remain for the first session, a day for the main event, flight or ferry and a bed included.
