What changes for fans on Monday?
Kick-off moves to Monday: CD Tenerife host FC Andorra on 2 November 2026 at 13:00 in the Estadio Heliodoro Rodríguez López in Santa Cruz. It is round 12 of LaLiga Hypermotion, Spain’s second division.
Anyone who already holds a Sunday ticket does not need to exchange it. According to Diario de Avisos, the tickets remain valid for Monday.
The match had been set for Sunday 1 November at 20:00, as Diario de Avisos reports. A rain warning kept the stadium closed that day.
Nothing in the sources covers travel, parking or traffic around the Heliodoro. Fans heading there should check the club’s website first.
Why was the Sunday match called off?
The Canary Islands government declared a heavy-rain warning level for the greater Santa Cruz area, report Infobae and Diario de Avisos. According to Diario de Avisos, a warning from the state weather agency AEMET came first.
The Cabildo de Tenerife (the island government) then suspended all cultural and sporting island activities in the risk zone. Diario de Avisos says it activated its island emergency plan and closed sports facilities as a precaution, including the Heliodoro.
On Monday the Cabildo cleared the match to go ahead once the precautionary closure for Sunday ends. Diario de Avisos reports that it made this conditional on the forecast weather arriving.
The website futboltotal.futbol speaks of an orange warning, but no source documents an official one. Rainfall totals and the length of the warning are not confirmed either.
Why Monday at 13:00?
The clubs agreed on Monday lunchtime to spare Andorra a second trip to the island, according to Diario de Avisos. CD Tenerife confirmed the new date in an official statement.
A second match at the same stadium also shaped the kick-off time, says Diario de Avisos. At 19:00 on Monday, Costa Adeje Tenerife play Athletic Club there in the Liga F, the top women’s league.
Fans can see both matches at the Heliodoro on Monday, at 13:00 and at 19:00. The sources do not say whether the women’s match needs separate tickets or what they cost.
What applies to tickets and broadcasts?
Sunday tickets remain valid for Monday, writes Diario de Avisos. Anyone who wants their money back should email entradas@clubdeportivotenerife.es.
The newspaper gave no deadline for refunds. None of the available reports mentions ticket prices either.
Anyone staying away from the stadium can find the match on LaLiga TV Hypermotion, DAZN and LaLiga TV M2, according to futboltotal.futbol. The site does not say what viewers outside Spain need to watch.
The same site names Manuel Ángel Pérez Hernández as referee. No separate confirmation from LaLiga or the football federation RFEF turned up by Monday morning.
Have matches been moved like this before?
Weather has moved matches at the Heliodoro before, as the broadcaster RTVC reports. In December 2024, Tenerife v Deportivo de La Coruña was put back because of storm warnings with gusts of up to 120 kilometres per hour.
The Cabildo also activated its emergency plan then and stopped sport at the stadium. The club asked LaLiga and the RFEF for a postponement, and according to RTVC both agreed.
The match was rescheduled for 29 January at 20:00. The RTVC text does not say whether the tickets stayed valid.
That case suggests a sequence: the Cabildo imposes limits, the club makes a request, and LaLiga and the RFEF set the date. Our research found no text in the BOC (the Canary Islands official gazette) or the BOE (Spain’s state gazette) that governs this.
What is still open?
No result was available on the morning of 2 November. Confirmed details on the league positions of the two teams are missing too.
Nobody has documented when or how the warning level was lifted. No statement from the Cabildo or the Canary Islands government turned up, so the information rests on the Diario de Avisos report.
The next confirmed fixture at the Heliodoro is the women’s match at 19:00 on the same Monday. The LaLiga website lists an earlier meeting, Tenerife v FC Andorra on 3 February 2024 at the Heliodoro, but gives no result for it.
