When and where does Mao Fujita play in Santa Cruz?
Mao Fujita gives a piano recital at the Auditorio de Tenerife on Tuesday 8 December 2026 at 19:30. He plays in the Sala de Cámara (the chamber music hall) at Avenida de la Constitución 1 in Santa Cruz de Tenerife.
The evening runs for 1 hour 45 minutes, including a 20-minute interval. If it starts on time, it ends at about 21:15.
According to the Auditorio, the hall seats around 420. The organiser lists only this one date.
How much does entry cost and where can you buy tickets?
A ticket costs €15, and the organiser gives no price categories. The event page mentions no discount for residents.
Tickets are on sale online at the official website, by phone or at the box office. Under the general terms of sale, online bookings add a €1 platform fee and phone bookings a €1 call-centre fee.
The event page does not say whether these fees apply to this concert. Whether tickets remain is open, as there is no information on availability or sale dates.
The box office answers questions at taquilla@auditoriodetenerife.com or on 922 568 625, Monday to Friday from 10:00 to 14:00, except on public holidays. The box office in the main foyer next to the café opens Monday to Friday from 10:00 to 17:00 and on Saturdays from 10:00 to 14:00, the Auditorio says.
How do visitors from the south get to the Auditorio?
The TF-1 from the south and the TF-5 from the north lead almost to the building, according to the Auditorio. The car park has 189 car spaces, 14 for motorbikes and 8 for disabled drivers.
Parking costs €0.80 per hour, or €2.70 prepaid for 4 hours and €3.35 for 5 hours. The car park opens at 07:00 Monday to Friday and at 08:00 at weekends, and it admits nobody after 22:00.
A space is not guaranteed, as guidebooks judge the parking situation differently. If you want to be sure, plan an alternative.
By bus, any route that ends at the TITSA (island bus operator) station in Santa Cruz will do, as the station is only a few metres away. For timetables, use the TITSA route planner or call 922 531 300.
The Auditorio says a tram stop is nearby but does not name it. There is no information on evening services after the concert.
What are the rules on entry, children and refunds?
Latecomers are not admitted once the doors close. Only people over five may enter, and under-16s need an adult with them, according to the terms of sale.
Pushchairs and baby carriers are not allowed, the terms of sale say. Reduced-price tickets cannot be changed or refunded once issued, and you must show proof at the entrance.
If the concert is cancelled, changes and refunds are possible. Anyone who buys a wheelchair space without being a wheelchair user is turned away and gets no refund.
8 December is a public holiday in Spain (Inmaculada). The concert is still on the programme.
What does Mao Fujita play and who is he?
The evening is titled De la claridad al fuego, meaning From Clarity to Fire. Before the interval, Fujita plays Mozart’s Rondo K. 494, Debussy’s La plus que lente and Images Book II, and Beethoven’s Piano Sonata No. 31, Op. 110.
After the interval come Ravel’s Menuet antique and Glazunov’s Idyll Op. 103. Scriabin’s Piano Sonata No. 4, Op. 30 and Rachmaninov’s Piano Sonata No. 2, Op. 36 in the 1931 version complete the programme.
Fujita is 25 and was born in Tokyo. He made his recital debut at Carnegie Hall in January 2023.
He won first prize at the Clara Haskil Competition in 2017 and the silver medal at the Tchaikovsky Competition in Moscow in 2019. The organiser contradicts itself on the Mozart rondo: the programme says D major, the description F major, so the key stays unconfirmed.
How does the evening fit into the Pianísimo cycle?
The recital is part of the Conciertos de piano (piano concerts) series in the Ciclo de Música de Cámara (chamber music cycle) and of the Pianísimo 2026/27 subscription. The subscription gives 25% off if you buy all eight concerts.
Vadym Kholodenko was on the programme in the same cycle on 20 October 2026, and Paul Lewis plays on 24 November 2026 and 23 March 2027. The Auditorio has not published a subscription price or a deadline.
Fujita’s trio concert with Renaud Capuçon and Kian Soltani on 11 September 2025 was cancelled because Capuçon could not take part for personal reasons. The ticket price then was also €15.
