Is there a direct flight from Gran Canaria to Agadir?
Binter has flown to Morocco since 2005, according to Airline92. On 6 May 2016, Le360 reported, the airline announced a Wednesday flight between Agadir and Gran Canaria, on top of Monday and Friday.
The ATR 72 (a propeller aircraft) took about 1 hour 50 minutes then. Return tickets cost from 88.45 euros.
The schedule from after the pandemic is out of date. Binter resumed the route on 21 June 2021, weekly on Mondays, as RTVC reported on 19 June 2021 citing EFE.
Departure was then at 12:15, with arrival in Agadir at 13:50 and the return at 14:35. From 7 February 2022 the flight left at 10:40, according to La Voz de Lanzarote.
It is not confirmed whether Iberia and Canarias Airlines are only codeshare partners (airlines that jointly market one flight) on the same flight. Flightmapper shows flight NT 1024 on Sunday, 10:00 to 11:35, valid from 29 March to 30 August 2026.
A Moroccan media report from 2024 lists Binter flights on Sundays all year, with Thursdays added in summer. The winter timetable for 2026/27 is not available, and only the timetable and fares on the official website are binding.
Booking portals quote from 57 euros (Kayak, March 2026) and about 117 euros (the official website, August). Opodo lists Binter from about 140 euros one way, with no date.
How do you get to Agadir from Tenerife, Lanzarote or Fuerteventura?
The research found no confirmed direct flight to Agadir from Tenerife, Lanzarote or Fuerteventura. According to Morocco World News, Binter ran an Agadir–Tenerife route on Wednesdays from 2016, and a 2020 report also mentions it.
There is no current confirmation.
For Lanzarote and Fuerteventura there is no sign of any Agadir link. Practical routes are travelling via Gran Canaria or changing at Madrid or Casablanca, though these connections were not checked.
Rumbo quotes about 150 euros for Royal Air Maroc, with no date. The seven hours of travel time it gives refer to connecting journeys.
A ferry from the Canary Islands to Agadir is not confirmed. The current Morocco routes of Naviera Armas start on the Spanish mainland, the research found: Motril–Nador and Al Hoceima.
Anyone leaving the Canary Islands should treat the ferry as unavailable until an operator says otherwise. La Voz de Lanzarote described a planned Naviera Armas service.
The ship “Volcán de Tamadaba” was to leave Gran Canaria for Arrecife on Fridays at 23:50. On Saturdays at 10:00 it was to sail on to Agadir, about seven hours at sea.
The article calls it a proposal. Whether the service ever ran is unclear.
What are the entry rules for Agadir from the Canary Islands?
Spain's foreign ministry (MAEC) requires a passport for Morocco. It must be valid for the whole stay and for more than six months (page valid on 6 November 2026, updated on 9 July 2026).
The Spanish DNI (national identity card) does not allow entry. Tourists need no visa.
Stays are limited to six months a year and at most 90 days in any six-month period. Vaccinations are not required.
For Germans, the identity card is not enough and a passport is needed. ADAC gives this as the position of the German Foreign Office on 5 November 2026.
Accepted documents are a passport, a provisional passport and a child's passport. The passport must be undamaged and valid for at least six months on entry.
No visa is needed for up to 90 days. For the provisional passport, ADAC elsewhere refers to a warning from the German Foreign Office, whose current wording could not be checked.
German-Moroccan dual nationals usually also have to show the Moroccan ID, according to ADAC. ADAC also recommends registering on the ELEFAND crisis list.
For British travellers, GOV.UK (an FCDO page dated 19 August 2026) says the passport must be valid for at least three months after arrival. Tourists can stay visa-free for up to 90 days.
Border officers are supposed to stamp the passport, and damaged passports have been refused. Rules for US citizens and other nationalities are not available, so follow the advice of your own country.
Prescription medicines and narcotics are often subject to special rules, ADAC says, and a doctor's certificate in English is recommended. Minors travelling without both parents should carry consent documents.
Pets need an EU pet passport, a microchip and a rabies vaccination no more than six months old, according to ADAC. Exporting art or antiques requires a certificate from Morocco's culture ministry.
What applies in Agadir on money, customs and safety?
The currency is the dirham (MAD). MAEC gives a guide rate of 1 euro to about 10.80 dirhams, with a swing of about 5%.
Exporting more than 2,000 dirhams in local currency is banned. Importing or exporting foreign currency worth 100,000 dirhams or more must be declared, says MAEC, and GOV.UK gives the same limit.
MAEC advises keeping exchange receipts. Paying in foreign currency at hotels, restaurants or bazaars risks a worse rate, it says.
Foreign cards avoid that but can trigger fees. Gifts are duty-free up to 2,000 dirhams, according to ADAC.
MAEC and ADAC contradict each other on tobacco and alcohol, so we give no quantities. Price levels for Agadir are not confirmed.
MAEC describes Morocco as a generally safe country. Petty theft and armed robbery occur in the big cities.
Lone travellers and small groups should avoid remote rural areas. MAEC advises against travel to the earthquake provinces of Al Haouz and Taroudant.
The border with Algeria is closed and must not be crossed, says the FCDO. The FCDO calls Western Sahara a disputed territory.
According to an older Travelbook note, the German Foreign Office advises against travel to the Algerian border region and remote Sahara areas. On the law, MAEC lists strict rules: zero tolerance on drugs, with prison terms of two to ten years.
Same-sex relationships are a criminal offence (six months to three years), and drones need an import permit. Emergency numbers: police 190, fire service 150, rural gendarmerie 177.

Sea temperatures are not available. For your departure days in the Canary Islands, current readings and warnings are on CITA weather (cita.news/de/wetter.html) and at AEMET, the Spanish weather service.

Anyone planning a trip should check days, times and fares directly with Binter. The phone number 928/922 32 77 00 comes from the 2021 article and has not been reconfirmed.
