When and where does the Golden Island Fest take place?
The Golden Island Fest brings a new urban music festival to Gran Canaria on Friday 27 and Saturday 28 November 2026. It runs at the Recinto Ferial de Agüimes, the municipal fairground in the south-east of the island.
The site lies by the Cruce de Arinaga. How guests get there from the resorts is unclear, because nobody has confirmed shuttles, parking or bus routes.
The organisers describe a first edition under the motto “La isla se mueve”, which means “The island moves”. The festival aims to bring fans of urban music together and to mix international names with the Canarian scene.
Who is on stage?
Khea from Argentina is billed as the headliner and is seen as one of the pioneers of trap in his home country. He gained international fame in 2017 with the song Loca, made with Duki and Cazzu.
RVFV, whose real name is Rafael Ruiz Amador, comes from Almería. He is a leading name in Spanish urban music, with songs such as Mirándote and Prendío and the albums Nastu and El tiburón.
Ptazeta is also on the poster. Don Patricio leads the Canarian side, arriving after the success of Contando lunares with Cruz Cafuné in 2019.
Maikel Delacalle from Tenerife blends R&B, hip-hop, trap and dancehall, and is known for Ganas and Replay. Juseph has Colombian roots and grew up musically in the Canaries.
Lewis Potter is a young Gran Canarian on the bill. Daniela Garsal sings R&B, soul and urban pop, and has just released her first album, Se lo conté a las niñas.
She and Juseph previously headlined the Sonora festival at the Plaza de Santa Ana in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. More than 4,000 visitors came, according to the announcement.
How do visitors get tickets, and what do they cost?
Tickets are already on sale at goldenislandfest.com, according to the announcement. They come in three categories: General, Front Stage and Platinum.
What they cost is unknown, because the announcement gives no prices and the parts of the festival site we read show none either. Age limit, entry times and bag rules are not confirmed.
Platinum buyers get their own zone with a premium bar and a welcome pack. The running order for each night is not published, so check the daily programme before you buy.
What does the site offer besides the concerts?
Concerts are only part of the plan. The Jilorio Zone brings food trucks, El Mercadito sells merchandise, and the Enrale Zone is meant for side activities.
Payment on site is cashless, using NFC technology. The announcement does not explain how visitors top up, so anyone carrying only cash should ask in advance.
What is still open about this festival?
Even the organiser is unclear. The announcement names Buceta Escena Global, other reports name BeGolden Producciones, and we could not establish which is right.
The Ayuntamiento (town council) de Agüimes has said nothing on permits, a safety plan or funding. The same goes for the Cabildo de Gran Canaria (island government) and the Canarian government.
Capacity and expected visitor numbers are also unknown. More artists are due to follow in the coming weeks, according to the announcement, which should show how full the nights will be.
How does the festival fit into Gran Canaria's concert scene?
Urban music already has a firm place on the island. The Granca Live Fest ran from 2 to 5 July 2026 at the Estadio de Gran Canaria with Ptazeta on the bill.
Tickets for it appeared in sales listings from about 152.90 euros. That is only a rough guide, because the Golden Island Fest has no link to it and what a ticket in Agüimes costs is still open.
Anyone who misses Daniela Garsal in November has a second chance on 4 February 2027 at 20:30. She plays a solo concert in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria on her tour “Se lo Conté a las Niñas y Ahora a Ustedes”.
