When and where do the three events take place?

Surf 'n Zouk kicks off the month on Friday 13 November at 18:00 at the Marquesina. Sole Giménez follows on Saturday 21 November at 20:00.

The Ponle Freno run closes the month on Sunday 29 November in the Calle Pío XII. Surf 'n Zouk also ends that day, at 18:00.

All three events are in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, the island capital, so visitors staying in the south will need a way into the city for each one. Neither the organisers nor the city have published any advice on buses, parking or access.

Drivers should expect closed roads on race day.

How much is the Sole Giménez concert?

The Auditorio Alfredo Kraus gives no official ticket price on its event page. It sells tickets through the platform auditorioalfredokraus.janto.es.

Resale sites list tickets at higher prices, but these are not box office prices. Check with the auditorium first before you buy from third parties.

The concert belongs to the 20th Mar Abierto festival, which runs from 21 February to 7 December 2026 according to the published programme. The main venue is the Auditorio Alfredo Kraus, with a few shows on Tenerife and Fuerteventura.

Sole Giménez plays live with her band and presents her tour “Ser humano”. The auditorium says she brings new, unreleased songs, plus hits such as “Alma de Blues” and “Como hemos cambiado”.

One source gives 22 November for the concert. The auditorium itself says 21 November, and this article relies on that date.

How does Ponle Freno work on 29 November?

Las Palmas is the last stop on a 2026 circuit that passes through ten cities, including Badalona, Zaragoza, Málaga, Valencia and Madrid. Josué Íñiguez, the city councillor for security in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, confirmed 29 November as the closing date at the presentation on 24 February 2026.

The city is taking part in the races for the ninth time. According to the city, Las Palmas has 5km and 10km races plus children's races.

Entry costs 10 euros, under-14s run free, and sign-up is online. According to the city, all proceeds go to a project for road accident victims.

The organiser is the Atresmedia group together with the Fundación AXA. The start time is still open.

Another source names Calle Pío XII as the venue and Saturday 28 November as the sign-up deadline, if numbers remain. A second source gives 13 December, but the city says 29 November.

Which road closures should drivers expect?

The city has not yet published any traffic measures for 2026. At the presentation, Íñiguez said the run closes “roads to traffic to open them to sport”.

In 2025 the race started at 10:00, with roads closed from 08:00 to 14:00. Some sections closed from 23:59 on Saturday, and parking was banned along the route.

That year the route ran along Manuel González Martín, Pío XII, Rafael Ramírez, León y Castillo and Galicia. Start and finish were next to the Parque del Estadio Insular.

Anyone driving into the city on 29 November should wait for the city's notices shortly beforehand.

What is Surf 'n Zouk and how much does it cost?

Surf 'n Zouk pairs Brazilian zouk dance workshops with surf lessons, and according to the organiser SurfnZouk, nobody needs surfing experience. The dance classes are split into beginners, and intermediate and advanced levels.

Shows and social dancing follow in the evening. Surf lessons, excursions and accommodation cost extra and are booked separately.

According to published details, the Dance Pass costs 240 euros for week 1 (13 to 22 November) or 240 euros for week 2 (20 to 29 November). Both weeks cost 390 euros.

Group accommodation is available at Tamaran House, with details sent after purchase. The daily programme, surf prices and surf spot are not confirmed, and the organiser says they will appear on surfnzouk.com.

What is still unclear?

The concert has no official price, and Ponle Freno has no confirmed start time or route for 2026. Surf 'n Zouk lacks a daily programme and surf lesson prices.

Before signing up for Ponle Freno, check the date again on the registration page. For the concert, look at the auditorium's ticket platform, which may also list any age rules.
