What can visitors expect in Tegueste on 5 November?
The concert begins on Thursday 5 November 2026 at 20:00 at the Teatro Príncipe Felipe in Tegueste. The Ayuntamiento (town council) says entry is free.
According to the council, the programme is “a selection of the most representative works from the different projects” of the quartet. That makes it a look back, and the council has not published a list of pieces.
For guests staying in the southern resorts, this means an evening in the north of the island, but with no ticket to pay for. By comparison, published event details show that tickets for “Legado 360º” in the same theatre on 8 May 2026 started at 15 euros.
How do you reserve a seat?
The council gives 922 316 136 as the number for seat reservations. It says this should make attending easier and secure seating.
The council has not said whether a reservation is compulsory. It has also not published deadlines, phone hours or the number of free seats.
How do you get to Tegueste from the south?
Tegueste lies in north-east Tenerife and is completely surrounded by San Cristóbal de La Laguna. About 11,359 people lived there in 2022, according to the INE (Spain's national statistics office).
TITSA bus lines 050, 051, 052, 057 and 105 link the town with La Laguna and the surrounding area. The main road is the TF-13.
Neither the council nor the wider research names a direct link from the southern resorts, and journey times are not confirmed. Current timetables and parking have not been checked, nor has whether buses still run back after 20:00.
Anyone coming without a car should ask TITSA about the return trip beforehand. For an evening concert, that question matters more than the entry price.
Who plays at the anniversary?
The Canary Guitar Quartet consists of Samuel Delgado, Luis Alejandro García, Tomás Fariña and Fran Yanes. The council cites awards from the Festival Internacional de Guitarra “Ciutat d'Elx” and the Pleven Guitar Festival in Bulgaria.
According to announcements of earlier concerts, most of the music is by Fran Yanes and combines an avant-garde language with Canarian folk tradition.
“Pintmaderas” opened the “Santo Domingo en Ciclo” series on 13 March 2024 in the former Dominican monastery in La Laguna, starting at 20:30. The show combines music with visual art and portrays the life of the Canary Islands' indigenous people, and it was put on by La Laguna's culture department and the city music office OAAM.
In February 2023 the quartet played the programme “Consonancias” at the Festival de Música de Canarias. The council says it has also toured and worked with several symphony orchestras.
What is still unclear about the concert?
The council speaks of ten years of existence, while other sources give 2017 as the founding year. From 2017 to 2026 is nine years, and the council has not explained how it counts.
The length of the concert and any guest musicians have not been published. The capacity of the Teatro Príncipe Felipe is not known either.
The council runs both the cultural programme and the theatre, so the evening is paid for from the municipal budget. The research found no figures on this.
What is TeCulte, and what comes next?
TeCulte is Tegueste's municipal cultural programme, and the anniversary concert belongs to it. The council presented TeCulte as the new design of its cultural agenda, together with the programme for the last quarter of the year.
By its own account, the council wants to offer a varied and accessible cultural programme. The research names no further dates, and only the evening of 5 November 2026 at 20:00 is confirmed.
