What is planned in Tejeda on 14 and 15 November?
Tejeda gets the Feria KM.0 Gran Canaria on Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 November 2026, says the published programme. The venue is Calle Dr. Domingo Hernández Guerra, in the island's highlands.
The programme lists only the place, the dates and the website km0grancanaria.com. What will be on sale in Tejeda is not confirmed, though earlier editions offered wine, cheese, honey, fruit, vegetables and fish, among other things.
Nothing is confirmed about a hike from the Cruz de Tejeda via Valsendero to Fontanales, so we skip its length, duration and path conditions. The Cabildo de Gran Canaria (island government) and the Ayuntamiento de Tejeda (town council) can advise.
Fontanales lies in the municipality of Moya, and the Feria stopped exactly there in August 2026. The available information names no link between the Tejeda market and a hiking tour.
What is still unclear about the Tejeda market?
Nobody has yet published the opening hours, the organiser or the number of producers for Tejeda. No entry price appears in anything we checked, so it is unconfirmed whether the visit is free.
We found no notes on road closures, parking or buses to Tejeda either. Tejeda is a mountain village, so anyone driving there in a hire car should ask the Cabildo or the town council beforehand.
Whether the Tejeda edition carries a number is also unknown. The last numbered one was the 34th edition at the Agüimes fairground.
A shuttle is possible, since Moya had one. Nothing confirms one for Tejeda so far.
How did the last Feria in Fontanales run?
In Fontanales (Moya), the Feria ran on 15 and 16 August 2026, from 09:00 to 14:00 on both days. More than 45 producers from across the island sold their goods on the grounds of the Fontanales school.
The Ayuntamiento de Moya and the events firm Elipse organised the market. The Canarian project “Dinamiza Rural” gave support.
Visitors could ride a free circular bus in Fontanales. A further transport service ran from Las Palmas de Gran Canaria to the Feria.
These times and services do not automatically apply to Tejeda. Anyone planning a visit should wait for the programme for 14 and 15 November.
How does the Feria KM.0 work overall?
The Feria KM.0 is a travelling market that began during the pandemic and reached its 18th edition in Ingenio in 2023. So far it has stopped in Ingenio, Arucas, Moya, Telde, Santa Lucía, Valsequillo, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and Agüimes, among others.
The island's tourism website names Elipse, Gestión de Eventos as the organiser. Director Pedro Quintana says the team looks first for producers from the host town.
Stall numbers stay within a fixed range: Arucas had 42 producers in June 2025, and Telde had 40 in October 2025, of whom 20 came from Telde. In Agüimes, around 50 producers came from 14 municipalities, and 58 of 60 stalls went to local producers.
The Cabildo de Gran Canaria promotes and funds the Feria. No budget figure is available.
What should visitors do now?
The most reliable source is the website km0grancanaria.com, which lists the programme. The pages of the Cabildo de Gran Canaria and the Ayuntamiento de Tejeda are also worth a look.
Do not confuse the Feria with the Feria Regional de Vino, Queso y Miel de Canarias. It also took place in Tejeda, on 6 and 7 December 2025, with 42 stalls and almost 50 brands from six islands.
We found no date for the 2026 wine fair. The Cabildo names tomatoes as a typical product of Tejeda.
