What can visitors expect at the Parque Temático on 6 November?

“Los Tardeos del Terror” runs on Friday 6 November 2026, from 18:00 to 23:30, at the Parque Temático in Arrecife. The Ayuntamiento de Arrecife, the town hall, is staging the party after postponing it.

The Ayuntamiento has announced live music and activities for the whole family on Friday evening. There are also workshops where visitors make Halloween costumes.

Several horror characters will entertain visitors over the five and a half hours. Guests are invited to come in fancy dress, and the organisers expressly encourage it.

What should families and holidaymakers do now?

The window from 18:00 to 23:30 means you can arrive late in the evening and still join in. No fixed start times for individual items have been published.

The published announcement gives neither a price nor a ticket system. It does not say whether entry is free.

There is no age limit either, and no advice on getting there or parking. If you are travelling from the resorts, check the Ayuntamiento de Arrecife’s channels shortly beforehand for price, programme and any changes.

Why was the Halloween party postponed?

The Ayuntamiento had originally planned the party for last weekend. It was meant to fit the long weekend.

Spain declared three days of national mourning after a train accident. Public bodies across the country suspended events and activities during that time.

The Ayuntamiento then reset the party for Friday 6 November. The announcement gave no exact original date.

How does Arrecife usually celebrate Halloween?

Halloween is an established tradition in Arrecife, as the 2023 “Arrecife Halloween Spookfest” shows. The Cabildo de Lanzarote (island government) and the Ayuntamiento staged it on 31 October in the Parque Islas Canarias, from 18:00 to 01:00, with free entry.

The programme included a “Tunnel of Terror” in the Real Club Náutico car park and several DJ sets. Anyone who showed a receipt from an Arrecife shop got in first, because the organisers wanted to steer visitors towards the town-centre shops.

Mayor Yonathan de León pointed at the time to the many families and the support for hospitality businesses. Whether the rescheduled party continues that series is not confirmed, because the 2023 venue was not the Parque Temático.

What is still unclear?

Our research found no separate statement from the Ayuntamiento de Arrecife on the postponement and the new date. Programme times, performers, workshop details and age limits are also unknown.

Using coastal parks for parties is not uncontroversial in Arrecife. In 2024 a resident claimed the 31 October events in the Parque José Ramírez Cerdá were not authorised, citing article 12.5 of the Ley de Costas (Coastal Law).

According to the resident, the Dirección General de Costas is handling a boundary procedure (deslinde) in Arrecife that suspends permits. No official decision on this is known, and no link to the Parque Temático is proven.
