What can visitors expect in Arrecife on 6 and 7 November?

Lanzarote Fashion Weekend runs on Friday 6 November and Saturday 7 November 2026 at Multicines Atlántida in Arrecife. The magazine Gazette Life and the Canarian broadcaster RTVC both give these dates and this venue.

Entry is free, and Gazette Life says you do not need a ticket. Visitors will find a market of local brands and fashion shows by island designers.

Around 20 fashion firms are taking part, according to RTVC, including Ángel Cabrera, Macaronesia and Rosa Delgado. Trainees from the textile course at IES Tías are also taking part.

If you live in the southern resorts, you will have to plan your own journey, as the authorities have not published advice on traffic, buses or parking. Show times are missing too, so check lanzarotemodaoficial.es, listed as the official website, before you go.

Who is behind the fashion weekend?

The Cabildo de Lanzarote y La Graciosa (the island government) organises the event, says RTVC, through its industry department and the Lanzarote Moda platform. Aroa Revelo is responsible for Lanzarote Moda at the Cabildo.

Proexca runs the joint brand “Canarias Islas de Moda”, which also covers Gran Canaria Moda Cálida, Tenerife Moda and Isla Bonita Moda. Gran Canaria Moda Cálida focuses on swimwear.

RTVC names the model Aida Artiles and the Lanzarote designer Jesús Lemes as ambassadors. The guest designers are María Escoté and Raquel García Hammerhoj.

Gazette Life names no organiser, while RTVC names the Cabildo. No budget or public cost has been published.

What jewellery will Tania Candela show?

Under her Famaraspirit brand, Tania Candela presents jewellery made specially for the weekend, according to Gazette Life. The magazine describes the pieces as exclusive, one-of-a-kind items.

Candela began experimenting with wire and stones at 17. She moved to Caleta de Famara in 1995, and the Lanzarote landscape has shaped the organic forms of her collections ever since.

Her designs draw on marine life, the volcanic landscape and Canarian crafts, says Gazette Life. She works with recycled, traceable silver and with gold vermeil.

Famaraspirit sells at the Galería CIAN in Teguise, at various markets and in the CACT shop in Timanfaya National Park. Online, the brand is on Instagram and Facebook as @famaraspirit.

How did the fashion weekend go in previous years?

The site Neo2 reports on an edition held from 11 to 13 May 2018 at the Jameos del Agua. It was presented as the first fashion show in a volcanic tube, featured Custo Barcelona and was organised by CACT Lanzarote and Turismo Lanzarote.

In 2025 the weekend ran from 6 to 8 November in Arrecife and Tías, with free entry, says La Voz de Lanzarote. The guest of honour was María Cao, who has championed sustainable fashion since 1996.

In 2024 Lanzarote designers showed their work around 11 November, alongside colleagues from Gran Canaria, Tenerife and La Palma. La Voz de Lanzarote counted the event among five major fashion events in the Canaries.

The venue changed almost every year, and no visitor numbers have been published for 2025. No figures show whether the event is growing.

How does Lanzarote jewellery fare beyond the island?

In March 2026, Angie Vázquez and Silvia de Noia (Siliza Joyas del Fuego) showed their jewellery at Madrid Fashion Week. They were part of Juan Duyos’s show “Euphoria” at the Instituto Cervantes, alongside more than 40 other proposals.

Four Canarian designers took part in the joint collection under the “Canary Islands of Fashion” brand. The Cabildo says such visibility creates contacts and room for brands to grow.

What questions are still open?

The opening Fashion Talk has already taken place, on Thursday 29 October 2026 at 19:00 at the Arrecife Gran Hotel. RTVC gave no times for the shows on 6 and 7 November.

The full list of designers remains open, as does whether more jewellery brands are joining. Our research found no official programme or press release from the Cabildo.

What is certain so far is the setting: a market and fashion shows on Friday and Saturday at Multicines Atlántida, with free entry. More details should appear on the programme’s official website.
