Is there music at the town market on 8 and 9 November?
The announcement named music at the town market of La Frontera on 8 November and Lava Circular events in La Frontera on 9 November. No confirmation turned up, and the official programme ends on 7 November.
The Cabildo page on elhierro.es instead gives 7 to 9 November and 26 projects. It is dated 5 November and probably comes from an earlier year, since the organiser's site speaks of the 10th edition.
According to the directory mercadillos.org, the Sunday market in Tigaday runs every Sunday from 08:00 to 14:00 at the Plaza Benito Padrón. That is a directory entry, not an official programme; 8 November 2026 is a Sunday.
The attached page from the Ayuntamiento (town council) reports a show-cooking workshop on 8 June 2025, from 10:00 to 12:00. It does not mention music.
What is the Lava Circular, and what remains open?
According to its website, the Lava Circular is a cultural project that has linked traditional and contemporary culture on El Hierro since 2017. Hisla organises the 10th edition, and more than 30 artists and collectives are named, among them Ácido Folclórico, Contramapas and Graffmapping.
The 2023 edition was the seventh and ran from 2 to 4 November. According to elhierro.es, the Cabildo funded a later edition with 26 projects through the culture department of island councillor Tatiana Brito.
Zumurrud and DJs performed at that edition. A duo called CNSFN+ painted a mural in El Pinar.
Who pays for the 2026 edition is not stated, and visitor numbers are missing too. The organisers or the town hall would have to confirm any dates for 8 and 9 November.
