What can visitors expect on Thursday in Morro Jable?
If you fancy food and music on Thursday 5 November 2026, head for the Plaza de San Miguel in the town centre. Pájara council invites everyone to “Los Saraos de Morro Jable” from 18:00 to 23:00, and entry is free.
A tapa with a drink costs five euros as a combo. The council has not published which venues take part or what will be on the plate.
Samuel Saxofón, Jony Telde and the band Siroko play live. Nobody has announced set times so far, so anyone who wants to hear all three should plan for the whole evening.
The concept is deliberately simple: friends and families meet on the square, eat together and listen to music under the open sky. The announcements do not mention a ticket or registration.
What does “Los Saraos” mean and what is a tardeo?
“Los Saraos” means roughly “sociable parties”, according to the announcement. The council’s motto is “Tardeo, Tapas y Buena Música”.
A tardeo starts in the afternoon and flows into the evening. In Morro Jable it begins at 18:00 this Thursday and ends at 23:00.
Morro Jable lies in the municipality of Pájara, in the south of Fuerteventura, on the Jandía peninsula. Whether you live there or are on holiday, you will find the Plaza de San Miguel in the town centre.
Who plays on the Plaza de San Miguel?
The band Siroko comes from Morro Jable, where it formed in 2018, and plays regularly at fiestas on Fuerteventura. According to the announcement, many visitors will already know it.
It has played at the Fiestas del Carmen in Morro Jable and at the 2026 Oktoberfest in Costa Calma. If you went to either, you may have heard it already.
Samuel Saxofón and Jony Telde are also on the programme. Nothing more is known about the two artists or the running order.
Is Los Saraos a one-off event?
No, 5 November is at least the fourth documented edition since August, each time on a Thursday. Pájara council reported the first one on its website for 6 August 2026, from 18:00 on the Plaza de San Miguel.
The second followed on 27 August, this time from 19:00 until midnight. Another ran in Morro Jable on 8 October from 19:00 until midnight, but it is not confirmed whether it also took place on the Plaza de San Miguel.
The council calls it a concept that has proved itself at earlier dates. It wants the event to become a fixture in the Morro Jable calendar over the long term.
The council did not say how many people came before.
Who is behind the series and what is it for?
The idea came from councillor Juan José Viera González, who is responsible for trade in Pájara. The mayor is Alejandro Jorge.
The series aims to bring life to the town centre and support the local economy. Shops and restaurants around the square should gain from the extra visitors.
According to the council, public squares should become places to meet. Residents and holidaymakers should chat there, not just spend money.
On the October edition, Viera said the aim was to repeat the atmosphere and turnout of the previous one. Costs and funding are not published, and it is not documented whether the council subsidises the five euros.
What questions remain open on weather and getting there?
The event takes place in the open air. The council has not published rules for a cancellation or bad weather.
There is also no information on getting there, parking or closures around the Plaza de San Miguel. If you are unsure, it is best to ask the Ayuntamiento de Pájara (town council).
If you want to catch the series again, watch for new announcements from the council. It has not named a date after 5 November so far.
