Is there a Christmas party on 6 December 2026?
A search on 7 November 2026 found no official programme from the Ayuntamiento of San Sebastián de La Gomera. Time, venue and artists for 6 December are all unconfirmed.
The “Fiesta Navideña” calendar entry for 6 December 2026 appears to echo the 6 December 2025 party, with the year moved forward. Treat it as a pointer, not a promise.
Admission is also unclear, as the Ayuntamiento gave no price for 2025. The programme does not say whether the party was free or who paid for it.
What was on offer on 6 December 2025?
The Fiesta Navideña began at 22:00 on Saturday 6 December 2025 on the Plaza de Las Américas. DJ Renzo and the group Amanecer de La Gomera played.
The party belonged to “Brilla San Sebastián”, a programme of more than forty events. It ran from 5 December 2025 to 5 January 2026 and, according to the Ayuntamiento, was aimed especially at families.
The season opened on Friday 28 November 2025. It began with a video-mapping show called “Destellos de Navidad” on the town hall façade, fireworks and a parade by the Banda de Música (town band).
In the “Gran Escaparate” draw, local shops offered three prizes. The Ayuntamiento donated a trip for two to Lanzarote, and the programme gave no draw date.
Where is the party and how do you get there?
The Plaza de Las Américas was the main venue in 2025. It hosted the Cross Popular de Navidad, several concerts and a kart track.
The Ayuntamiento’s programme gives no details on travel, parking or road closures. If you are coming from the south coast, check with the Ayuntamiento before you set off.
The Tecina area had its own dates too. On 23 December 2025 a Christmas market opened at 17:00 on the Plaza de San Juanito, followed at 17:30 by the “Tarde Mágica” with Father Christmas.
What else was on in December?
The XXVIII Cross Popular de Navidad set off at 17:00 on 19 December 2025 on the Plaza de Las Américas. At 19:30 the “Concierto de Navidad Lo Divino” followed there, with several local music groups.
The Parranda Chigadá gave a Christmas concert at 20:00 on 20 December. On 21 December the Banda de la Escuela de Música San Sebastián played at 19:00.
On 22 December 2025 at 19:30 the Belén Viviente (living nativity scene) moved through the pedestrian streets of the old town. The theatre group Minela Teatro performed it, from the Pozo de la Aguada to the Plaza de La Asunción.
The XX Travesía a Nado (swimming race) began at 11:00 on 27 December 2025 in the Bahía de San Sebastián. On New Year’s Eve the town rang in the new year at 23:45 at the town hall.
When can you expect the 2026 programme?
The Gran Cabalgata (Three Kings parade) began at 17:00 on 5 January 2026 on the Plaza de Las Américas. The reception of the Reyes at the town hall was set for 11:00.
In earlier years the programme appeared in late November or early December, according to research. No announcement exists yet for 2026.
